Outside the house, Julie! But they came in and they were double checking all his info, documents, etc. DH said it was possibly to try and turn it around to being his fault:mad:

I would NOT like to be that driver in the station tonight! Thankfully the car had no-one in it.

Sorry to hear about your DH's car . How in the world could this possibly be your DH's fault when the car was parked ! :nono:

Ach! As if you need to deal with that now! :( I hope it all works out that they pay for the full repairs. A colleague of mine had the same thing happen and they tried to blame him for where he was parked (completely legal). They made such a fuss and tied it up for so long, he just paid so he could get his car back.

They have their ways of getting out of the responsibility for paying. :(

That was our feeling too, Tink. After all, they checked the car had road tax, we had insurance, and that DH's licence was ok. And they had no need to immediately check our physical paperwork, it takes them about 3 seconds on the police computer. Anyway, as the accident was not DH's fault, we can give the details to our own insurance company and they can have the fun of recouping the costs from the government!

Cathy!! OMG, how dreadful...good no one was in the car...but keep an eye on them and make sure they don't try anything sneaky. :hug2:
