Virgin FC / airmiles.

If you phone Virgin FC with a view to using airmiles in some way, will they point you to the best option available or should I already know what I want to do?

(I.e: Companion seat or upgrade)

Ask them to look through all options. When we looked into it the companion flight came out dearer than if we booked miles and money. I am going to exchanged all mine to Virgin holiday vouchers as this works best for us.

I did wonder about just getting the vouchers for VH but I have been considering booking the hotel directly with Disney this time.

You could book fly drive with Virgin holidays.

I find that VA are excellent at promoting the "benefit" of being a member of their FC...earning miles etc.etc.....but it`s getting more and more difficult to actually spend those miles on companion seats or cabin upgrades etc. :(

Agree with this - we ended up with a not magnificent m+m for a huge aount of miles - the no of companion seats is microscopic I fear - however the cahp on the phone bent overr backwards to try and help up by offering other dates etc - something you don't get from the website of course

So it's worth the phone call then? Luckily we're not tied to dates as long as it's around the anniversary.

diane loads of people do it as its a tad cheaper do ing a fly drive than a VA flight[which im gonna find out how much cheaper now] just have the smallest car and dont pick it up :D

well i got a quote from VA for £358.10 and the same date on VH was £410.05 so a flydrive isnt cheaper

I looked at dates in Feb next year Diane and they have PE upgrades around the time you would go in 2010 but not UC. So you may be lucky with the actual date :D and get PE at least :yes:

You can't. :D You must go directly to the Disney Store to purchase these. And Mickey folders. Tinkerbell is acceptable also. :D
