Old Town has car shows, yes. It's right on 192, quite near Celebration.

Kissimmee Old Town is great to visit, especially on Saturday for the classic cars. It's one of our 'must-do' places.

The website is very informative:

I think the bikes are Thursday.

I just want to say again for the record that I don't think this is necessarily the place for women and kids alone at night. I'm not scared of anything and I recall being very uncomfortable as a woman alone with 2 teenaged girls. When we go at night, we take my big, burly husband with us.

Really Johnie? Why? I ask because I've been there alone with Herself before and wasn't concerned. That was years ago however. Now if we go it's with others in a group (for no particular reason, it just works out that way).

At night, it is extremely crowded. There are LOTS of men. Plus, it seemed like everyone was drinking in the open bars (they don't have foors...they are just open) and in the street. It just wasn't a place for kids.

We go during the day and it's fine.

oh, dear Lord , I wasn't aware of the hot rods . As Jim has owned quite a few since we've been together, he had been there in a flash . Now that I'm thinking about it he sold his 68 camaro to someone in Florida . White with blue racing stripes , header hanging out of the hood . Anyone spot one ? I forget where in Fl those people lived, but it would be a trip to show up and see our old wheels . Maybe not for Jim, he'd probably get sick . LOL

Sorry to hear you experienced that. We were there on a Saturday night and there were loads of families with small children. We even remarked on what a lovely, friendly atmosphere there was and got talking to several Americans that were standing near us watching the parade.
