Early 80's. Dana (my sister) was born in 1980, 6 days after my 9th birthday.

Yes, but did YOU have your little gold initials in the bottom left hand corner of YOUR lenses? G-d, those glasses were something. And yep, I had a pair too, only my bows were never that far down on the lens frame.

Well, that is a boat load of gifts Johnie! Can't help us at being amazed! You (like I am) are considerably older than your siblings. :yes: Did you always have to "know better because you are the oldest?!" :sigh;

Johnie
22-09-2008, 01:53 AM
Oh yes, it never mattered what my sister did to me, I wasn't supposed to retaliate b/c she was the baby :rolleyes008: She knew exactly what she was doing!

Tink
22-09-2008, 01:55 AM
Yup, same here. :sigh; Did you have one or two siblings? There are three of you little girls in one of the photos?

Johnie

The smallest girl in that photo is my sister Dana. The other child is my cousin Liz. Liz is 5 years younger than me and Dana is 9 years younger. Liz might as well have been my sister. My grandparents were her aunt and uncle. She would get up in my papa's lap and kiss him and call him her papa just to make me mad  The only time I was ever threatend with a spanking at my grandparents house was with Liz. We straightened up quick!

Tink
22-09-2008, 02:10 AM
And you and Liz today? How is your relationship? :D

Johnie
22-09-2008, 02:14 AM
Very good. Dana says when she was born, we combined forces and ganged up on her :p

Tink
22-09-2008, 02:19 AM
That's good. I had a younger cousin who was truly hateful. I got blamed for everything that brat did. We still dislike each other to this day. Thankfully, she lives in Tennessee, so I never have to see her for any reason. And you know what? She's still a brat. :spring: :sorry:

Johnie
22-09-2008, 02:21 AM
OMG I have a cousin just like that! He and I hate each other. He is truly a loser. I haven't spoken to him since I was 17 years old and I swear he is the only person I have ever felt this way about.

Tink
22-09-2008, 02:25 AM
I won't let myself say I "hate" her, but I sure don't like anything about her at all. She was and remains a liar of the worst sort. She had one child, ignored him until her parents stepped in (the kid is an adult and still struggles today) gave her second child to her sister to raise, and then kept her third child and turned him into a pathological chronic liar like herself. :( Some people REALLY shouldn't be allowed to have children. :(

Her first child was the sweetest boy. :(

Ahhhh! The joys of being an only child!

No one to post old photos of me--or current ones!

Except Leu. She has all of our elementary school photos. They did panoramic class shots. I was one of the shortest and close to one of the ends of the front row. She was just a bit taller, so farther in toward the center. Amazingly, we've been the same height since our early 20s!

Good thing she doesn't use the internet! :D

 Should amend that to: she doesn't use the internet very well yet. She's learning.
