Is it worthwhile? I was thinking it would be nice not to have to worry about packing things like snowglobes and heavy items. Do disney send packages back and who do they use? UPS?

I'm guessing that Disney won't ship to the UK. I've heard/read that somewhere before. I don't know if it's WDW, or just the catalog though. I should think if you were willing to pay for it, they'd ship it.

Couldn't guess who they would use, maybe USPS parcel post?

I remember asking at the polynesian gift shop and they would ship but the price was just silly :( I think they used UPS but it was a good few years ago so perhaps it's changed

If you wanted to ship yourself, there is a US Post Office on Sand Lake not far at all from DTD. It would only be convienient though if you had your own transport.

This is according to the Disney site for visitors from the UK:

Is a post office or other location available for shipping my purchases? A. Certainly. For your convenience, there are locations at each Theme Park where you can ship packages.
Locations are:
Magic Kingdom Park: Package Pick-Up, Main Street U.S.A.
Epcot: Package Pick-Up, at Entrance Plaza and International Gateway Entrance.
Disney-MGM Studios: Package Pick-Up, left of front gates before exiting the Park.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Package Pick-Up, located at Garden Gate Gifts.

They said they use UPS and FedEx but I don't know if that would be different to UK.

I enquired about a snowglobe to be shipped home last year :shocked025:
The snowglobe was about $80 and the shipping just under $100.....seriously!
This was from Main Street.
I know some one who shipped one from Celebration post office though for $30 :p015:
