I didn't know it was.
Hopefully they are going to add nice comfy headrests as I can't do the ride anymore, it rattles my brain too much

Taken from www.themeparkinsider.com (http://www.themeparkinsider.com)
There are rumors floating around about a lengthy WDW Space Mountain refurb.
The rumors say that the following aspects of the ride will be refurbished:
-The track (not the layout)
-Some of the supports
-The cars (with new soundtrack)
-The loading/unloading area
-Enclosing the entire ride area as well as the load/unload areas
-New pre-show (queue)
-New post-show
The rumors also say that the people movers will be closed during this refurb because they go through the building.
The refurb is set to start in January 2009 and is set to last from 1 to 1&1/2 years which would re-open is just before the Magic Kingdom's 40th anniversary of park operations.

We will probably spend the entire holiday looking at rides without actually going on them anyway.
It took 3 days in DLP last time just to get my son on Buzz Lightyear!!!
