Today is Lauren's funeral :( Still doesnt seem real at all.

If you could spare a thought about 1pm for her parents Mhairi & Munro who have to do the most horrific thing - burry their 17yr old daughter. You just arent meant to have to do that.

:hug2: hun if i can give you one bit of advice its that after the funeral is always the hardest for the parents. Everyone tends to stop visiting and get back to their normal lives which is very understanding. I have learnt this through friends that have lost their beloved children. I try to be there when they want and stand back when they do not. :hug2:

I can only try to imagine their loss and grief. And I fail in accomplishing that. May they find some peace.

:hug2: thoughts with you and her family Karrie. I don't think there can be anything tougher for a parent to have to do.

This is what we said to Mhairi after the service. that we will give her a few weeks and then go see her, once the family have left and everyone else has gone back to 'normal' is when it will hit hardest...

:hug2: she will need you then. When a friend of mine dd passed away last year everyone was there right up to the funeral and then stayed away. Myself and another friend were there for her and we learnt to be there when she needed us most and stay away when she did not want us. It will be hard but she will thankyou for it :hug2:
