Disney Again Day 5 MK Pt1

[Shogun]

Monday 15th September

This was to be a LONG day. Magic Kingdom plus Spectromagic plus Wishes.
Started off with some of the locals dropping in for breakfast.

Once we got to the park area the camera shutter went into overdrive.

We always go over on the ferry the first time each visit as the views are much better.

Rope drop happened just as we were getting off the ferry so it was very crowded by the entrance.

The fire engine was already loaded as we walked into the Town Hall Square.

And the Halloween decorations were all up.

It was straight down Main Street

to the first ride we wanted to go on : -

So we went straight to the entrance

and found it was a walk on. Still the same as I remember it.

After we shook as much water off as we could we went next door to Thunder Mountain. This too was a walk on. As you can see there was us in the back and 3 or 4 in the front.

At the end the front riders got off but as there was no queue we asked if we could stay on and we got the train to ourselves.

One place we have never been to is Tom Sawyers island so this was next on the list.

And after a walk round the island and through the caves there is a seat from which to watch the world go by.

Having got our taste for the high seas we visited the Pirates of the Caribbean next.

Still in a nautical frame of mind we went to the Jungle Cruise. This was the first ride we had to queue at, but only about 10 mins.

Cut across the park and into Tommorrow Land

where we did the Buzz Lightyear ride and saw Stitch.

We also saw “Push”

As the time was getting near 3pm we headed past the castle

and into Main Street to watch the parade.

How did you manage such a dramatic shot of the immedicate descent on Splash Mountain?! The photos are all wonderful, but that one is great!

As soon as you come out of the tunnel hold the camera up in the air pointing it at the drop. Press the shutter and hope. Then try to get the camera under cover before you get to the bottom of the hill.. A fast shutter speed helps.
