View Full Version : On a side note... Can anyone read Russan?

22-10-2008, 02:41 AM
I just imported a dog from Russia and she is a show Ch and the judges wrote some comments about her in Russian and I am curious to know what they say. The Russian language is very foreign to me so I can't even try to figure it out.

If anyone can help I would forever appreciate it. :)

That is funny. The dog only understand Russian so it has been challenging. Maybe you could come over and cuss at her. :) lol

If you Google Russian Translation you might find a couple of useful sites. Is it written in Cyrllic or English style lettering?

22-10-2008, 02:31 PM
It must be cyrllic because the letters are different.

I put an ad on My Space and I have to tell you I got some really weird responses.

I even looked in larger cities like NYC and Washington and I have one man insist on meeting me- creepy.

It is not a huge deal- I will keep looking.

I am from Fort Morgan- and hour north east of Denver.

Is that the dog in the picture?

Nope that is not her- that is a male we have retired but he is still my favorite.

If you go to my webiste http://www.goldengirlskennels.com her name is Leihua and you will see meet our girls on the left side- then click on her name.

Ok now I really want a puppy, they are all gorgeous!

So, do you run a kennel?

22-10-2008, 02:51 PM
Well kennel is a loose term- my Father calls this my hobby run amuck- we have a lot of dogs- but they are all ours- we need to downsize a bit because I have too many right now- but they show so many times 5-6 of them are away- it just happends that right now everyone is home and it is too many.

So kennel- no in the sense that we do not take in other dogs- but we use the word in our name because it kind of fit.

Am I just rambling? It is still early. :)

I have been ogling all the dogs. They are just gorgeous. It seems like a good hobby :p015:

It is fun and very rewarding.

22-10-2008, 03:15 PM
Oh I bet. I love that one of the dogs is a service dog. That is so cool!

22-10-2008, 03:22 PM
Gosh, what a lot of animals you have! The llamas are lovely. :)

22-10-2008, 04:34 PM
Too many animals in the winter. But they are fun.

Does the dog know hand commands?

That may be your best way of communicating with him

23-10-2008, 01:01 AM
Nope not yet- and actually she is doing really well- we have changed her name, her language, her family, and her country- do you think we could do any more trauma to her? LOl Maybe shave her?

She is getting it- dogs are very adaptable.
