Well... I had that interview in M&S... They offered me a job but don't have any vacancies for the one I want, so have put me 'on hold' for upto 6 months. If I see a job I can do then I have to apply and they'll give me it. I was a bit :slap: with them, but then I suppose its good that they have put me on hold, I'd rather have got a job there and then though, it's kind of a "so near yet so far" moment.

Secondly, I've just had a phone interview for Clark's shoes... They are reviewing these and then will be holding a group interview within the next few weeks and they'll contact me if I have an interview!

Just thought I'd update you all as a few have asked :)

Josh

Keep on looking. :yes: That's the way to find an opening.

Not heard of a group interview. :unsure: What on earth is that?

33% off! Great ey! Wish they'd round it up to 35%... 33% is such an odd number!

It's basically where they give a group of people a task and make them do it. I think it lets them know how you will work as part of a team and stuff;

That might help!

they can be adapted to the level that you are interviewing for Tink. You either love them or you hate them. A good point is that most people tend to relax a bit more it seems to sort out the power inbalance between a panel interview and interviewee- even if you don't have a table between you there is always a barrier to communication imo. When we interviewed for Nurses we asked a series of questions and got them to do a group presentation on a relevant subject that they didn't know about in advance. I found it very useful and it certainly showed teh people with enthusiasm and the team players. Some people don't like them though- i think i may feel a little self conscious but then when i had to do a presentation for my current job i was shaking in my boots :lol:

33% equals more or less a third off so that's probably why it's that Josh.

:fingers: for a good result for you!
