LTT has discontinued characters at dinner--or will soon. I'm not sure of the date. So Crystal Palace would have the best character interaction of the two. I really liked LTT, though.

The food at LTT is served family style--platters at each table. It's semi-traditional holiday fare throughout the year. Salad, turkey, beef (I think it was flank steak when we were there) and some type of pork (I think it was smoked pork), mashed potatoes, cooked vegetables (carrots when we dined there) and a fruit cobbler for dessert.

Crystal Palace is a buffet--and quite good, as buffets go. Food at proper temperatures, replaced frequently and a fairly diverse menu to cover most food preferences. There also are food stations with mac & cheese, chicken nuggets and a couple of other items at child height, which makes it nice for them. We've had excellent service and character interaction there, as well.

Edited to add:

Crystal Palace has breakfast, lunch and dinner menus/seatings. We've only had dinner there.

I cant' remember when LTT is doing away with characters but it's soon. I wanted to do it during our trip in Jan. & it was over by then.

I would have recommended Crystal Palace over LTT anyway. For one, it's just darn good! And two, I will always pick a serve yourself buffet over the kind where they bring it to you.
