Is it a real word?

Wonder if it means a good wind or a bad wind.

You know, a gentle cooling breeze that floats in off the sea.

Or is it going to be a "blow you off your bicycle" type wind.

Least he didn't say squawky wind. Then we would be really confused.

of course, the kind of wind that dries your washing! bad wind comes from....men usually! ;)

i found this
SQUALL A squall is a strong, sudden wind which generally lasts a few minutes then quickly decreases in speed. Squalls are generally associated with severe thunderstorms.

i googled squawly wind and it does exist as a word in the weather world - squawly wind, squawly rain and such like.....!

ok, so i guess he wasn't talking about Russia after all!

it's *very* wet and windy and I accidentally left some washing on the line last night which would've actually been dry if I'd remembered to get it in :(

i wonder if it'll dry up in time for my sisters bonfire tonight? :rolleyes008:

Been hot and muggy here all day and then we had a bucketload of rain about 5pm. Someone somewhere was getting thunderstorms. And now (6.30pm) we can hear thunder off in the distance so I think we will be getting it soon.

Typical Brisbane summer weather! :rolleyes008:

Yes, and because we are in drought I'm not even allowed to complain - it would be unAustralian
