Oh lordy what a horrible day outside - grey and very wet.

Payday today. Waiting anxiously to check payslip. Five times out of the last six months it's been wrong. Have told them if it's wrong this month I am scrubbing my name off the Christmas rota and possibly storming building with a flamethrower.

Not working this weekend and no plans - just chilling and getting the Christmas tree out of the attic. :D

DH has to work again tonight - all night! :argue:

Oh well someone has to pay for my next holiday!

Gareth's party tomorrow! 8 or possibly more teenage boys rampaging through the laserzone and wolfing down pizza! :cake:

Claire

I'll be sitting here desperately trying to get Coldplay tickets for next September!

Won't that clash with your Joe Longthorne gig?

Claire

Won't that clash with your Joe Longthorne gig?

No cos Coldplay are supporting Big Joe! Shirley and Elton rang and told me when I shared Tom's dressing room back in '73.

Wendy

The sun is shining here but it is very cold, I can handle that :D

Panic mode is setting in, one week left to get everything sorted before our holiday. I've got people to see, presents to deliver cases to pack :hide: whoever thought it was a good idea to go away at this time of the year must be crazy

We are out for a meal tonight. Chris isn't working tomorrow :D but even though I originally said no, I got sweet talked by the girls into going up tomorrow to help them put the Christmas tree up (family tradition we've always done it since the eldest was young) and then it's Chris' office Christmas meal tomorrow night. Anyone got any match sticks I think I'll need them to keep my eyes open

Chris goes away on Sunday for a course, won't be back until late Tuesday night, so that will mean 2 sleepless nights - I suppose on the good side at least I'll have something to do

Anyone fancy coming over and giving me a hand :D

My mum met him in the Silver Skillet cabaret club in Maidenhead and had a lovely signed photo of him. Wonder if that would pay for my next holiday if I sold it on ebay

Well bought dd a 2ft prelit tree in Sainsburys for 5. Went and bought way to many decs for it though :sigh: forgot it was smal . All up and it only took 5 minutes. Our main one will not be going up yet though as Cornelius has taken to the little tree already :nono:.
Cooking a meal for me and dh tonight as dd in respite and i have been horrible to dh all week . Thankfully he does not take it to heart.
Just eaten a packet (small) of Ritz cracker sandwiches with peanut butter my lovely American friend sent to in my food parcel. It was full of yummy peanut butter goodies .
Need to decide what dd is going to have out of the pile of birthday/christmas presents that seems to be growing for her birthday.

Hi everyone. Well today i have SHOPPED big time. Have done a ton of christmas shopping. Had a nice lunch out with DH. We tore through Reading. I am now VERY tired. So i have just poured myself a nice cold glass of pinot.

Well done Claire, we were listening to Moyles in the morning who said the Coldplay tickets sold out in 2 minutes.

I was so looking forward to the flame throwing!

I actually ventured into a store on Black Friday! Of course, I waited until about 10:00 a.m.--the craziness was pretty much over by then. Some stores opened at midnight, many at 4:00 a.m. and the others between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m.

Needed only one item--a two-slice toaster. Mine bit the dust about two weeks ago and I was too frugal to buy one until they were on sale. Bought an Oster for $20--the loss-leader Hamilton Beach was sold out before I arrived. I'm much too frugal to pay $40 or $50 for a toaster--why do they need to be computerized and multi-functional? All I need it to do is toast a slice of bread!
