I've nicked Tinker's Idea and decided to post a pic of our tree... now I say its ours, but mum is wayyyyy too fussy, so no-one gets to touch it during the decoration :nono:

Very nice Josh :D

I'm like that though, I like to do the tree on my own with no help  If Chris so much as picks up a bauble I scowl

Nice tree.

You should get a little tree for your room Josh and then you can decorate it as you wish

Your mum did a very nice job . Your tree is gorgeous . I also like the red on a green christmas tree and the gold adds a pretty touch . Well Done Mum .
I did my tree by myself this year . Kim helped me get a section of lights working , but I decorated .

It's really nice Josh  Your Mum decorates very neatly, I tend to be a bit more random (maybe it's the mulled wine ). Made me think I may do mine tomorrow or at the weekend, :decoratetree:and as I have a real tree I'll have to have a trip out with the truck! :choptree9:In my new house I have very tall ceilings but only a narrowish space for it so it should be an interesting shape!

Nice tree Josh.

Steven and Adrian did ours so it looks like a box of decorations exploded and landed randomly everywhere. :rotfl:

what are the scroll thingys?
I think its called 'Organza Ribbon'

Nice tree Josh.

Steven and Adrian did ours so it looks like a box of decorations exploded and landed randomly everywhere. :rotfl:
:point:I think christmas trees look like they should have decorations thrown on them... much more personal!

Not the ribbon silly those 3 gold things..there is one up near the top and 2 closer to the bottom...

04-12-2008, 12:43 PM
Are they scrolls or gold tubes that hold something?

04-12-2008, 12:45 PM
OK so I am not loosing my mind..you see them too!!

04-12-2008, 12:51 PM
I may be wrong, but I think they're Christmas crackers :)

04-12-2008, 12:52 PM
Ah. OK. That would make sense. I always forget about those cracker things. They have started to show up in shops here though. Maybe I'll get some one year and see what all the noise is about! :D :D

04-12-2008, 12:53 PM
until i looked up what the heck a christmas cracker was I thought it was a...well edible cracker...Im gonna get some for nrxt year..they sound like fun!

04-12-2008, 12:57 PM
I forgot you don't really have them over there! We have always had them since I was a child and even now Christmas wouldn't be the same without them! One in our Christmas stocking which we pulled before opening anything, and then another as we sat down for Christmas lunch/dinner. We still wear the paper hats that you get in the cracker through Christmas dinner even now! :)
