Remember the job application with the pom poms, marching band and pawprints, etc

I got a job. A real one. Paying money. Money that will fuel the Disney fund.

It's a temporary role. And no she didn't wink when she said "temporary" :lol: But that's no big deal.

I'll be working with year 3 (7-8 years) with those children that are struggling with their reading.

Thanks for all the glitter and stuff. :D

I'm glad I got the year 3 post and not the year 6. I helped in a year 3 class last year and they were great fun.

Today I was left in charge of a year 6 drama class for 5 minutes. In that time one of them pulled a shelf off the wall and another one was hiding under a table in tears. :laugh:

Year 6, as in 6th year they've been at school? Or 7th year if you count kindergarten? :unsure:

One day, I'm sure that I will understand the British educational system...NOT! :sigh:

Year 6 = 10-11 year olds.

They're all football and high school musical and I don't understand them at all.

Dawn

Would be their 7th year at school - first year = Reception, then year 1 etc.

Tink

Reception=Kindergarten then? :yes:

OK. Gotcha. Year 6 is comparable to our 6th grade. SCARY! :lol:

Max, who is coming for Christmas (remember him, we took him to WDW one fiercely hot July... :lipwobble: )... whatever will we talk about? :unsure:

Tink, when you've got that under your belt, we'll start you on the Aussie system - slightly different in each state (but we are slowly standardising!)
