View Full Version : Now that was scary!

Just heard this funny noise coming from the other sofa. Looked up and Steven is choking. Has some food stuck in his throat. I've never seen fear in his eyes like that. I shouted at Adrian who whacked him on the back while I cleared the food from his mouth. A couple of whacks and it all came out.

I'm still shaking.

I need a drink.

Blimey Dawn, that really is scary! :hug2:

How is Steven now? Is he shaken up by it too?

And what are you waiting for with that drink??

Oh my, that is really scary, and a fear of all parents. No wonder you are shaky still.

This happened to Poppy when she was about 4. The culprit was a mini cheddar biscuit. I remember it as if it was yesterday.

Steven is better now. Just had a bowl of ice cream and toffee sauce as his throat was hurting.

I'm having a large Baileys and as much chocklit as I can find.

We've determined the culprit was a piece of pork pie. :furious:

This is so scary when it happens. Beth does this sometimes but i think me wacking her on the back scares her more .
Glad Steven is now ok.

It is terrifying to watch that happening - Caitlin got a fish bone stuck in her throat when she was 4 - it was probably the scariest thing I have ever seen :(

So glad Steven is OK and well done mummy and daddy for the quick reaction :hug2:

I am going to focus on the fact that the child was in the room with you and both parents were there to deal with the crisis.

Ohhhhmmmm ... ohhhhhmmmmm... ohhhhhmmmmmm...

That what Steven said this morning. "Lucky you and Daddy were with me".

I'll never forget that look of fear in his eyes...

:hug2: Thank goodness for parent's instincts!

I'll remember, forever, when my 4yr old brother choked on a boiled sweet. My Mum and my Gran grabbed a leg each, swung him upside-down and shook him until it fell out.

:hug2: I'm glad that you were around.
