Thanks to all. Was away from the computer for the last week so hence the late reply. Had a great day followed by a fantastic meal on the Saturday. The restaurant had dressed the table with Happy Birthday and stars confetti so I guess my DH had mentioned it on booking. Later they brought out a free dessert with candles and then the whole restaurant proceeded to sing Happy Birthday :embarassed2:. The owner then insisted we had a birthday drink before we left on the house. So all in all a great birthday weekend.
My husband's birthday is while we are at WDW. I hear that it is worth mentioning when we are there. What do people think?

Thanks. Us Brits aren't great at broadcasting these things! Maybe I should make him wear a "it's my birthday" badge/pin LOL!

quite often they actually ask "are you celebrating anything today?" so there's an ideal opening ;) I suspect that'll be even more common given 2009 is celebrations year
