Liz's old laptop's USB ports have all packed up and as the repair bill would be over £200 and her birthday is imminent . . . . . . . .

Has anyone any suggestions on which would be a good replacement. Maybe with a built in web cam but not essential unless there is an easy way to use it in Florida on line.

Price - around £400

As an after-thought, what equipment and internet connection is needed to put a live camera in the middle of Main Street?

Laptop in backpack, "mobile broadband" card sometimes called a 3g card or air card, camera attached to laptop and some simple free software :)

most definitely thats what macs were originally intended for, was art and graphics...don't get me wrong id have one but not new, i wouldn't pay 900 quid for a laptop that has a 13" screen lol 2nd hand yeah, as KEITH well knows lol
