Freezing isn't the half of it! It's truly cold, and for a protracted period of time (unbroken hours). That wreaks total havoc on the farming industry with the citrus, strawberries (it's now strawberry season) and the like. Not a good thing at all. :sigh:

I'd tell ya'll to send warming pixie dust but you're colder than we are!

I was originally going to go to FL this weekend but couldn't get the room I wanted. Thank goodness I booked for March! Although on vacation would be better than being at work right now!

February is the month for the strawberry festival here, Helly. Not that the strawberries taste nice, mind. :sigh: They look pretty but truly have no real flavor. Same with tomatoes grown in Florida (in the south in general).

I do far prefer tomatoes, berries, apples...from the north.

Looking at the 10-day forecast for Orlando it says 80 degrees for the middle of next week! Guess who's going on Sunday?

Don't worry! Our lovely warm weather is well on its way east.

And a cold front and storm with potential freezing overnight temperatures are moving in here from the west.

Not necessarily a bad thing, though. No one is ready for triple-digit temperatures yet!

Tink, we have the same issues with citrus crops as Florida does. We had a few nights last month and earlier this month with smudge pots going most of the night through the early morning hours.
