My sweet, compassionate, charitable, *absolutely* insane other half will be plunging into Long Island Sound this morning at 11:00am!! :mental:

He and about sixty others are diving in to raise money for an inner-city community center

*I* will be standing on the shoreline holding a towel  (unless it gets too cold, of course  )

Currently it is 18 F :point:

You're a good man, sweetheart :worship:

...and utterly insane....

My motto precisely FD :D It actually started with a coworker of mine who's husband runs the center, she asked me if I wanted to donate...I said, "SURE!!" and I donated Jon :D

No sharks, Helly....just lots of snow, ice and cold. :D

Andrew just sat down at the computer and started playing the theme from Rocky.

OH MY GOSH!!! :bugeye: That is WAY too cold!!!

Are his knees a normal color yet?

Dinner party for ten? Wowee! Where?

Beccaberry
09-02-2009, 07:18 PM
His knees (and the rest) are back to normal now :-) He says it was a "rewarding experience" and has vowed to do it again next year (he's now on some kick where he thinks it should be a "family affair" :mental: )

LOL, the dinner party should be lovely, the chef sent us some sample menus today...they look DELICIOUS! I'm not sure my humble home is fit for such a fine dinner!

Tink
09-02-2009, 07:24 PM
Oh wow! The party is in your home? How cool is that!!! Family affair?! Boy his Mom sure is gonna look funny with purple knees.

Beccaberry
09-02-2009, 07:33 PM
Yes, in our home...which should prove interesting :D

LOL!! His mom.

Ahem.

I think he was referring to the kids and myself

He'd have better luck getting his mom to do it

Do you have room for ten people for a table service dinner? If not, can you have a different sort (cheese and wine party, tapas, barbecue...:D :D).

You and the children? Oh no. I'm certain you've misunderstood. He did not say his Beloved Immediate Family, he simply said family. That would be Mothers, Fathers, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, step sisters and the like.

Quite a difference between the two groups.  :D

Not at one table, our dining room table only holds six...but what we thought we would do is wait until the weather warms a bit and then have the dinner party outside on the deck...that is certainly big enough to hold ten people, and I think it would be LOVELY!

See there? I know I can always count on you to be logical. Phew. I was a bit worried there for a moment!

Beccaberry

He said the adrenaline rush was phenomenal. He's incredibly shy and almost backed out at the last moment when he realized how many people were there to watch (he cannot STAND being the center of attention) but he said after it was over he just felt AWESOME.

Beccaberry
13-02-2009, 02:37 AM

Johnie
13-02-2009, 02:39 AM

I always do my friend, I always do :D

Johnie
13-02-2009, 02:45 AM
Did you make that fleece? I want one!

Beccaberry
13-02-2009, 02:49 AM
No, I didn't make that one actually...a dear friend of mine from Texas made it for me years ago!

It's one of my favorites!

Johnie
13-02-2009, 02:49 AM
It's one of those tie blankets, right?

Tink
13-02-2009, 02:51 AM
Does he have a pony tail?

Nice fleece. Nicer smile. :D Happy Birthday!!! So like what? Is he 21 yet, at least? :sigh:

You GO Becca! :D

Johnie
13-02-2009, 02:54 AM
 I had to go back and look at the pic. That is someone else's hair! Oh lord, you must have thought he was Billy Ray Cyrus ala the Achy Breaky Heart time period

Tink
13-02-2009, 02:55 AM
Well, I was seriously hoping that he wasn't doing the mullet thing.

Johnie
13-02-2009, 02:56 AM
ok I am still laughing....not at you Tink.

Beccaberry
13-02-2009, 02:59 AM
No man of mine will be rockin' the mullet!!! And Jon is most DEFINITELY not a pony tail type of guy :D

He's screaming over my shoulder right now saying, "HEAVENLY LORD WOMAN COULD YOU HAVE MADE THAT PICTURE ANY BIGGER???"

HEHEHEHE He's cute though. And he's 21....plus just a few :D

Yes, it's a tie blanket, though it's only "single ply" (in other words, there's only one panel of fleece....that particular pattern was printed on both sides...it's a great summer blanket!)

Jon also thanks you both for the birthday wishes. He says he was quite spoiled today.

Johnie
13-02-2009, 03:03 AM
ohh you should show his manly picture from the MK. I bet he wouldn't be yelling that the pic is too big then

Beccaberry
13-02-2009, 03:04 AM
He does look quite manly in that photo doesn't he...my man and his "guns"

Tink
13-02-2009, 03:04 AM
Awww, don't be offended at the hair comment, ok? :sigh: It just looked sorta odd there for a minute.

I thought men liked to be big? :sigh: I am so easily confused these days. :sigh:

Beccaberry
13-02-2009, 03:05 AM
LOL!!!

He's not offended in the least! ALL of his favorite wrestlers have ponytails

He like to be big...just not on the big screen!! I'm telling you, HE'S SHY!

Tink
13-02-2009, 03:06 AM
Oh. Well. No reason to be shy among a few thousand friends. :D :D

Johnie
13-02-2009, 03:06 AM
I cannot find a decent way to reply to that........ I will just say yes, usually.

Johnie
13-02-2009, 03:07 AM
LOL!!!
