If we happened to be awake in time, what would be the best place to go for breakfast on the disney site?

We had a problem with a car and took it to the rentals desk at th Disney Dolphin hotel and while we waited for a replacement we went downstairs and had breckies in the restraunt, little expensive but buffet and very good.

Truly enjoy Chef Mickey's...a bit loud and "ruckus" but the food is good...
Akershus is quite nice if you're looking for a princess breakfast...
Kona Cafe is also yummy in the morning...
Oh! There are several lovely places. Do you want a full breakfast, or do you want something light?
Cape May's Character Breakfast is wonderful. Wide variety of selections (everything from deliciously unhealthy, to very healthy) and excellent character interaction.
If you want something much simpler, the Boardwalk cafe has breakfast sandwiches and coffee, and tables to sit at outside.
Spoodle's used to do a wonderful breakfast with incredible coffee, but I've not been there in some time so not sure how it is any more.
Any of the All Star Food Courts have a lovely selection. Surprisingly delicious (in that many folks think it's just fast food).
One of the "legendary" places to have breakfast is at Poly's Kona Cafe for the Tonga Toast. I have to tell you though, when we were there for breakfast last August (2008) we were incredibly disappointed. :( No one ordered the tonga toast though. (But the rest of the food selections were not nice, cold, salty, icky...). Hopefully, they were just having a very bad day.
Much will depend upon what you want for breakfast, and where you would like to eat.

Will I lose my "Disney Card" if I admit I'm not a fan of the Tonga Toast?

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day on holidays - our favourite by far last time was Boma. We also had a very nice breakfast at Kona Cafe. I also love the french toast and the egg station at Crystal Palace. 1900 Park Fair had some nice selections as well

The ham and eggs at Boma are to die for! I really really really enjoyed my breakfast there.

Tonga Toast is too big and sweet. Just a bite or two with some meat would be nice.
My favorite breakfast is the skillet at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

I have to give my vote to Boma, the breakfast we had there a few weeks ago was one of the best meals we had on the holiday, even better than I remembered it.

I love their juice!!!
I don't like tonga toast either, but it is legendary.
Oh yes!! Boma is reportedly lovely for breakfast. We've never been! Only ever had dinner at Boma, and that was quite nice in its own right. :D

Tonga Toast is indeed legendary. It is perfect for those with a sweet tooth! I prefer more of a savoury breakfast. You can go down to Capt Cooks and get the Tonga Toast much cheaper.
Also, RFC at AK has a Tonga Toast that isn't as sweet. Just as big though.
I enjoyed Boma for breakfast too. I much prefer dinner there though.
Tonga toast is way too wicked sweet and fried for me. Herself and I shared a serving, once years ago and that was enough!
For awhile it was also available at the All Stars food courts. Not sure if that is still the case. I'm not a huge fan of French toast anyway. Unless of course it's made with Pannetone. :D :D

I don't like a lot of carbs for breakfast. I feel so sluggish afterwards. But, if I have to pick between french toast, pancakes and waffles, I will always pick french toast
My favorite breakfast is "real toast" (broiled or grilled :D ) and cafe con leche. :D :D I DO NOT indulge!

 I like lots of real crispy bacon. I hardly ever have breakfast though.

I love breakfast! I eat it everyday at home and vacation. It's my favorite meal.
We loved Crystal Palace last visit and we are going back in 1 month. The choc chip pancakes are the best!
We also loved Trails End at Fort Wilderness. A bit off the beaten path but cheap and good!
My favorite was the sweet potato pancakes at Boatwrights but sadly they are stopping breakfast service there. :(
Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Superb! :D

Good! We are doing that one for the first time this year - we did dinner there last year and it was very good (although a bit limited for me as I am a fusspot and don't do seafood ).
Looking forward to this one
