No spoilers since I know the UK won't get to see this for awhile.

UGH.....I am going to be a blubbering mess when this is all over. I just gasped out loud and cried :sorry:

Ducky, you have to get your tv back so I have someone to talk to this about!

Well I'm not Ducky, but I have been keeping up with ER!! I can't believe everything they are pulling out here at the end. So many old friends..and now I am dying to know what is going on with our latest return!!

I feel like I am going to be saying goodbye to old friends :sigh:

Oh and it looks like the final show will be April 2nd or something like that, so I got a message from my sister to plan the birth around it :taunt:

Can I join in on this thread as i feel I need therapy??!!
I'm watching the series a few weeks behind as I'm in the UK and I'm recording it on Sky+...but I'm spending my weekends catching up on it and ending up in tears...this series is going to push me over the edge!!
I feel like I'm watching an old friend disappear...isn't there any way to stop it from leaving us...?!!!

You know? I haven't watched ER for many seasons. I stopped several years ago when it became more of a soap opera (in my sole opinion, of course). But I actually caught it last night when channel surfing. I watched it because I thought I'd been there at the beginning, so perhaps I should be there at the end. I can't say I followed it all (that soap opera thing again) but did understand enough of what was going on to feel sad at the writing on the wall.

If I remember (and boy is that a huge IF) I'll try to catch it next week too. Is that the actual finale? I couldn't really tell from the closing adverts shown last night.

I am so sad and excited. Katie is going to bed, Dh is going to paint Marc's room, and Marc and I are going to snuggle for 3 hours and watch er without leaving the couch!! Everyone out of my way..Mommy is taking her er time :D

Johnie
02-04-2009, 06:12 PM

Johnie
02-04-2009, 08:40 PM
It looks like there may be 9 episodes left

Johnie
03-04-2009, 12:43 AM
ok so on right now is the flashback show thingie. OMG I have the wobbly lip and teary eyes. I don't know if I am going to be able to watch the finale :sorry:

foreverducky
03-04-2009, 01:27 AM
Oh goodness, I can't watch it till later tonight or tomorrow, I'm not sure.....oh man, I'm so anxious. I want to watch it, but don't want to cry.

Tink
03-04-2009, 01:47 AM
I didn't get to it until about fifteen minutes after nine. I've been struggling at nearly every scene! One in particular when the certain person introduces self to the long time ER desk worker. Sheesh! I've not watched it in years and years!

This episode is what I remember of ER though. Non-stop medical action.

I wonder how much I missed?

Johnie
03-04-2009, 01:56 AM
You didn't miss much Tink. The actual finale started at 9. The first hour was a look back remembrance kind of show.

Tink
03-04-2009, 02:33 AM
That would have been nice to see. Might have filled in some blanks... I stopped watching before Mark Greene died, so I go back years, but have huge gaps...

When did Kerrie stop needing her forearm crutch?

Johnie
03-04-2009, 02:39 AM
She had some sort of surgery. I missed that as well.

Johnie
03-04-2009, 03:00 AM
Consummatum est

sigh....

Tink
03-04-2009, 03:02 AM
So it ends as it began. I actually thought it was going to be a whole lot harder to watch. There were some spots, but they evened out looking back over the two hours.

I thought the reunion bits were kind of shallow. But I did like the continuity of two (certain ones) at the end...

Johnie
03-04-2009, 03:04 AM
Yep, agree totally. The remembrance show was much worse to watch.

Tinker
03-04-2009, 03:56 AM
The best part was the remembrance . The finale was disappointing only IMHO . With all the hype, night ater night on the news, I expected it to be much better . The saddest part was EB losing his wie of 72 years .

Tink
03-04-2009, 09:56 AM
Yes, there were a couple of bits early on in the show, the old wife, the young wife, and the introduction of the other "person." (Don't want to spoil it)...

In comparing it to the last episode of MASH? No contest.

foreverducky
03-04-2009, 11:32 AM
Am about to watch it...will be back with comments...stay tuned. :D

Do you know when it is being shown on 'normal' tv? Forgot that it was going to be on & so will have to catch up when it restarts on C4.

I was an avid fan until Greene died & now I just catch it every now & again!!

foreverducky
03-04-2009, 12:47 PM
Okay, so I just watched the look back show and that was good. Shed a few tears.

Tink
03-04-2009, 12:51 PM
How did you see it foreverducky? I missed that and if you are watching it online somewhere, I'd love to do the same!

foreverducky
03-04-2009, 02:19 PM
Yep Tink. Just go here this website http://www.nbc.com/ER/video/categories/season-15/698321/

And it's the second from the top. :D

So I finished the two hour episode. Had a few tears due to the case with the older couple. A good way to end. :)

no, sorry :sorry:

yep Johnie we have 8 more episodes until the finale. Wonder if we will get the 3 hours all at once. Is it going to get a bit more exciting over the next few episodes?

Johnie
03-04-2009, 05:50 PM
Most of them are really good. There was one or two that didn't live up to the rest.

Thanks Billie!! I appreciate the link!

I too have to admit that I was a bit disappointed in the Finale. All in all though it was a great 15 years and they brought in some characters that I honestly don't remember seeing in years past so now I have to go out and buy all of the seasons.

PsychoAlice
06-04-2009, 09:56 PM
