They are quilled. Quilling is an ancient art of rolling paper.

What a lovely keepsake you have made for this new little one. Just think, one day she'll show it to her child, perhaps and tell that little one all about you and how you loved her enough to create this lovely treasure. Perfectly awesome.

Donna,

Yeah, she has: Aniyah Grace. I'm honestly not too fond of Aniyah. Her original thought was Ella Grace, which is so pretty. Then she discovered Aniyah...

I made a similar book for our grandson Dayne who was born in October. It probably isn't as good as the one for Aniyah since it was my first word book. I also made him the attached card.

I think I would prefer Ella Grace as well, but Aniyah is quite unique and pretty! I do love the middle name :D

Help yourself! They are so much fun to make!

I design most of the stuff using Cricut Design Studio software. It's great for making things like word books.

How is Aniyah pronounced? I like it, but then I always like the more unusual name.

Ella reminds me of the character in "To Kill A Mockingbird." :sorry:

Both books are beautiful in their own way, Donna. Have to admit, the more elaborate one is fit for the Princess on her way!

I used to enjoy quilling. One of the many crafts that just don't make it into the schedule these days.
