The sun is out. It's freezing cold. Willow woke me at 6am. There are 2 goldfinches on the bird feeders.

There was something really important I had to tell you all this morning but I forgot what it was. :sorry:

My legs itch! From the knee down. Driving me mad!

Deb

Here Claire. Have some calamine lotion.

Sunny here but very frosty - pretty though  Loads of bluetits on my fatball feeder that is hanging only 3 inches from the window, and I only hung it there last night. They're fast learners those birds. And my housebound cat Lola is very happy at having a floorshow to watch.

I had a dream last night that I had a new programme put onto my laptop, and instead of Googling, I had to Snarkle

Oooo I like the idea of a snarkle

Goldfinches - very jealous - our birds are only just finding the feeders again after our holiday.

Sorry to hear about Jack - Chinese and 3-4 episodes of Green Wing tonight I think :D

Has cooled down a smidgen here at last. Still 27/81 which is not cold by any means but not as bad as it has been!

We are hopefully going to see Watchmen this weekend - hope it's good!

Sunny but chilly here in Liverpool.

Off out this morning for a coffee and chat with Trish (who some of you know from other forums) so it will be Disney chat non stop as we are both going this year:)

Deb
06-03-2009, 10:40 AM
Actually, I was thinking she may just have changed her washing powder or something  I mean, why would the fleas just stop at her knees?

Maybe she could Snarkle "itchy legs below the knees" and see what it comes up with.

Deb

Oh dear. Has the itching stopped? Or did the fleas just jump ship onto you? It's frosty today so please make sure you put a little hat and coat on the cat.

itchy spots below the knees as classic flea bites - they live in the carpets and can only jump so high , of course there are other reasons but it is one possibility - oh and not everyone will get the itchy bumps it all depends on if you are allergic to the bites or not

it can happen in any house with pets its not a dirt thing at all

Hello. Friday. Whoohooo! I get to go home today. :D

Seth comes today. :D :D :D (Well, later toward the evening, but you get the idea).

I actually may not have to stay away from home next week. That will be a welcome change. I have loads of administrative work to do, so staying put will be most efficient. :D

It's cold here in miserable Jax. :( 37 degrees last night. It's about 40 or so right now.

We are planning on visiting AK on Saturday. We've not been there in ages and I am looking forward to FINALLY trying Everest! :D :D

The young woman I've called in to assist me this week is from Newcastle! :D Delightful person, and very detail oriented. Just what I needed to accomplish the rather complex resolution for this community.

So, off to the community shortly to conduct an exit interview, and then hopefully on the road home. It's Bike Week ( ) I think, so I'm expecting traffic. :sigh:

Take care and I'll see you all a bit later!

:207: :207: woohoo Seth is coming to stay give him a huge hug and kiss from me :D

Tink, please tell me you aren't taking him on Everest  he's too small surely :fingers:

It's good news you can stay home next week :D

Drive home carefully :hug2: :hug2:

Tink
06-03-2009, 11:43 AM
Oh! I hadn't thought about taking him! But I will tell you this, if he is tall enough he will want to go! The kid is fearless. He threw his hands up in the air on Splash Mountain! Totally freaked us out.

We'll have to see about that one, Wendy! I surely will give him a hug and kiss from you. He sort of has you all rolled up as "Tink's Wennie" in his mind. Rather profound, eh? :D :D

Re the fleabites...you know sometimes I forget you're a real life proper Doctor and everything. I think you live in a tower with your telescope :D

If you were lying down on the carpet then they could jump high enough to bite you everywhere couldn't they?

Enjoy Seth and Everest Tink - that is my most favourite ride ever! :D

DS is 11 on Sunday

He and a friend are going to Mercedes World tomorrow to do an off road experience - they did the skids and track stuff last year, back here for pizza afterwards, then the adults get to eat :D

Family round on Sunday when he gets back from baseball training (he wouldn't miss that birthday or no birthday!) I am attempting a baseball field cake

No fleas in this house! Cat gets jab at the vets every 6 months and charges us 70 for the honour. :sigh: I'm thinking the itch has something to do with the return of the cold weather, snowed here yesterday, coupled with me having the heating on 24 hrs a day? Plus I shaved them yesterday with a different razor.

tgif is all i can say, had two sleepless nights due to reminding dog not to lick bandage, boy has gone to germany for 4 nights with the school. Caitlin and i are having a baking day tomorrow, quiches for the freezer and cupcakes then bobotie for tea. Can't wait

Ahhhhhh! Friday! :D

I am ready for it this week! Drama at the office and the CPAs' offices. I'm taking work home with me so I don't have to see any of them this weekend.

Weather has cooled off a bit--high 80s (might have been in the low 90s) a few days ago; down to low 70s now. Overnight lows dropped from 60s to 40s. :sigh: It would be so nice if our weather would just change gradually rather than this constant hemming and hawing!

More yard work this weekend. We have bulk trash pick-up the first week of April, so I need to have as much as possible done by then so I don't have to chop everything into tiny bits to fit it into the dumpster.

Happy weekend to everyone! :)

Tink, if the Sethboy is 44" or taller, he's a "GO" for Expedition Everest!!! Big hugs to the little man...hope you all have a blast!

TGIF here as well...it's raining...but it's warm(ish)...so the rain is turning the 14 inches of snow into a big piggin' mess of mud and blech.

Supposed to be nearly 60 tomorrow though

I have a rare weekend alone with the kids...Jon is off to Maine with his mom to visit family. I'm staying here with the kids as I have a wedding shower on Sunday. I miss him when he's gone, but I do enjoy it just being "the three of us" every now and again...we're off to the movies as well...Andrew's vote is The Watchman, while Baleigh is lobbying for "Confessions of a Shopaholic" :D They've agree to a double header so far, if he'll see her's, she'll see his  this may get expensive.

sorry Becca it's a fundraising thing where comedians put on a long show and ask us for money on the TV - like a telathon but around that date lots of people do things to raise money too, the theme this year is 'do something funny for money' hence the weird attire for work
