Pre-Trip report for My Center Parcs Weekend

On Friday the 13th of March, l am off to Center Parcs http://www.centerparcs.co.uk/villages/elveden/index.jspcs.

This is my annual girls weekend away. We started going in 2003 when 6 of us went. This year there will only be 4.
I love these weekends as there are no children,no husbands and no work.
We are staying at Elveden this year. We ysually go to Longleat but we needed a change this year. We have a woodland lodge and l am a bit worried as we have always gone VIP and each had an en-suite,but we thought to bring the price down we would take a 3 bedroomed lodge with only 1 bathroom.
This weekend is also after my BF 40th birthday so we plan to give her a good time. It goes without saying that we all like a tipple and l hope to show you as an impressive selection of booze that Johnie and Becca provided us with at New Year.
We leave on the Friday after dropping kidlets at school and return in time for collection on Monday afternoon.
We will be having a few spa treatments and using the spa in our time there. We also hire bikes. I have also booked us in for a line dancing lesson on Saturday which nobody knows about.
Now l know you all think l am sad but l do love a joke, This year l have made us all laminated passes with our maiden names. I have used "female" body builders as my inspiration. I find this funny as the steroid use in the builders has made for interesting photo passes.

Ooooooooh! A ladies only weekend! I sooooo jealous!

Leu and I haven't done one for a couple of years. Don't think it will happen this year either, with all the uncertainty about the economy. Since her hours and pay rate were cut at the beginning of the school year (they eliminated 20% of the food service positions in her school district) and I'm pumping what feels like tons of money into maintaining the house, it's hard to justify the cost. However, there are some good rates at Las Vegas resorts, so who knows!

Love CP - just looking to book Easter weekend. The Woodland lodges are lovely - very modern compared to the old Comfort Villas.

Have a great time. Would love to do a girlie weekend but my family would go nuts as we all enjoy it so much they would feel left out :)

After a weekend of should l/ shouldn't l , . I have decided to still go away at the weekend . We sat down and thought about it as my DH has planned a full weekend as well. We thought it's paid for l have my spending money and vodka. He has already bought his tickets to see Arsenal on sat with Liam.

we did a girly weekend at Elveden in Feb - it was lovely....we did a salsa class which was fun, and used the Spa on Sat evening.......we are planning on doing it every year!!
