Seriously....am I the ONLY person in the world who had NO idea what this is about? I had to google it this morning. It looks like it would be really good. I will have to go see it.

I missed all the hype. I swear I never saw a commercial for it. The only movie commercials I seem to see are scary movies. I can recite that stupid movie that says, "you had a twin but it died in the womb"

Well, I haven't seen it, but it's been difficult to avoid hearing about it! Even regular news programs have been covering it!

Perhaps when it's on television in another 10 years or so...

All I had heard was the name and something about dancing at the end. I had no idea it was going to be a serious movie.

You don't. I think it was called the unborn or something like that. I swear the commercial was on all of the time. Now it's Jason from Friday the 13th

You know, prior to Oscar hype I had not heard of it either. But honestly, that happens every year for me...there is always that one movie that I go "what, who, where???"

One year it was Crash (Brokeback should have one) and then another year it was English Patient. Both good movies, but I didn't know squat about them until that day.

It`s nice to see that some low budget movies get an Oscar or two. Apparently it only cost £10M to make which is peanuts in this day and age for a film.

I thought it was pretty darn incredible that the movie was made, and won!!! From what I've seen it has the feel of a documentary, and came close to not being released here as they couldn't find a "sponsor" or whatever it's properly called.

It's on our very short, "must see" list. We're hoping it comes to the Enzian.

Ok , very old thread being raised here but we just got around to watching this.

Phenomenal film.

If you haven't seen it watch it, it is brilliant , best ,film ive seen for years and years

No explosions or gore or sex

Just purely brilliant story telling acting photography and direction

So chuffed it won all those oscars and is about as far from a typical hollywood blockbusters you can get!

It is written....
