Well. Ummm. He's not Mick. That saved him for me. I am nearly appalled to say that I think I agree with Simon! Parts of it made me cringe, but I never lost sight of the fact that he was singing the song as himself and not trying to be Mick.

He surely will be someone to watch, eh?

I don't watch the show. You will have to keep me up to date. :D

Johnie
03-11-2009, 02:25 AM
 he is just adorable.

You know Simon was smiling about him tonight. Simon is quite cute when he smiles

Oh My Gawd, he's a Doll . I just showed Jim the video of him singing Black or White . Was one of my all time favorite gits by MJ .
IMHO, only 3 of them, maybe 4, were worth watching . Lil Rounds, David from MI , the rocker girl, but my heart is stuck on Adam . Whens it on again ?
This is the first time I have ever watched American Idol all the way through . The last time I watched an episode, Fantasia won

Johnie
03-11-2009, 03:23 PM
I watched the whole season when Constantine, Bo and Taylor were on.

I like the rocker girl too....can't think of her name but she is a powerhouse for only 16. Is David the widow? If so, I like him too. Lil is very good as well. I also like the blond girl with the pink highlights.

I'd like to see Allison Iraheta win this season with Danny Gokey second and Adam Lambert third.

Johnie

Tinker
03-12-2009, 01:44 AM
No, I thought it was the other one thats on stage with Anoop . I got the two mixed up, but they are both up there . So, hopefully it won't be Anoop .

They certainly know their market with these TV shows. Most of the boys follow the same formula cutesy metro sexual (is that one word?)

Tinker
03-27-2009, 08:26 PM
oh, he sure is Johnie . You have to go on you tube and watch this weeks Motown competition . He sang a slow song by Smokey Robinson . He had no nail polish, wore a suit , had his hair styled God, He is just a Doll .
I vote that it will come down to him and the Rocker Chick, which is good too .

MystikPiglit
03-28-2009, 01:53 PM

That song is a favourite of mine and I think that has to be one of the best versions I've ever heard.

Okay, while I never want to hear my man say "honey, where is the nail polish remover?" but that being said, I think he looks great with the eyeliner and nail polish. :D

I've seen bits on the net, remember no actual tv for me, and I think the smokey robinson song he did was great, but then again, I have a love for that type of music.

However, I saw the Ring of Fire version he did and I promise you I was waiting for him to start growing horns or something. It was way creepy. Kinda like how Marilyn Manson creeped-out the Sweet Dreams song my Anne Lennox.

Tink
04-23-2009, 03:44 PM
Being gay shouldn't detract from his cuteness. :D :D Glad to see it doesn't! :D

Ummmm Johnie? Dearest? Most use gaydar to recognize it's one gay picking up on another. :D It's use has been mainstreamed to mean anyone picking up on the vibe, but gaydar originally meant one gay recognizing the gay semiotics of another. :D

Ya' followin' me, kid? :D :D :hug2:

Johnie
04-23-2009, 03:47 PM
 well then.....I never know these things. Doesn't matter to me one bit anyways.

I want an I heart Adam button. I'm going to wear it all the time

Tink
04-23-2009, 03:58 PM
 Indeed. Enjoying someone for their talents, skills and gifts doesn't have a thing to do with ermmm... other stuff, eh?

You're a good egg Johnie. Sunny side up good! :D :D

And have you become a 'friend' on MySpace? :D

Johnie

Oh yes, I have seen him on the AI webpage. I don't think I am a friend on MySpace but I think I am on Facebook

foreverducky
04-23-2009, 10:49 PM
Trust me on this one, foreverducky, no woman is going to hear him say that. :rainbowsmile2: :D He's family.

That's true.

I'll tell ya, some men can pull off eyeliner better than women.

Johnie
04-23-2009, 11:48 PM
This is so very true......

foreverducky
04-24-2009, 02:02 AM
He definitely does it better than me.

I think he is a true entertainer and I believe that his goal is to entertain both men and women.

Tink
04-24-2009, 02:13 AM
But of course! He's a performer/singer/artist. I'm pretty sure the gender of the audience isn't a factor for him. :D

foreverducky
04-24-2009, 02:15 AM
But there are some artists out there, either men or women who only play it up for the guys or girls. To me that's more about them and their own sex appeal than being an artist and wanting to entertain.

Tink
04-24-2009, 02:17 AM
Ah. Gotcha'. Didn't understand where you were coming from.

So like, drag queens ya' mean, or other performers?

foreverducky
04-24-2009, 02:31 AM
I mean those people, who I think play/sing for a certain type of person. They are not there to entertain all. For example, maybe there are certain hip-hop artists that hope that their sex appeal will sell records and not their voice/songs

Tink
04-24-2009, 02:33 AM
Yeah. :hug2: I'm just teasing you a bit. I know what you mean though, sometimes I just think, stop with the posturing and sing already. Or is it that they can't really, so use the hypersexuality to distract from that fact?

foreverducky
04-24-2009, 02:35 AM
Bingo, I'm going with that answer (that they can't). I always wonder what happened to true singers. Maybe that's why I love doo-wop so much.

Tink
04-24-2009, 02:41 AM
Or why I love the old Motown...

I have to say, although I do consider Adam extremely talented, I don't care for all that screaming sort of stuff. It's along the lines of Mariah Carey and I can't STAND that kind of caterwauling. :sorry:

Not saying that he isn't fab, just saying that I'm not a huge fan of that sort of vocals.

foreverducky
04-24-2009, 02:45 AM
Motown is good too! Generally, most songs from the mid-50's to the early 60's I love.

I can see your point Tink. Why does Mariah have to try to break glass and I am still afraid of his Ring of Fire version.

Tink
04-24-2009, 02:56 AM
I tried watching the entire performance of that song on the link...and couldn't get through it. :sorry: I don't much like the song anyway. Maybe I'll try again, another day but for now I've heard enough. :sorry:

I've not compared his performances to anyone else on the show, so have no real idea of how far ahead he is or isn't. I've heard other folks talking about another person on that show, Chris/Kris? Seems he's a favorite too.

MystikPiglit
04-24-2009, 02:38 PM
I don't think I am a friend on MySpace but I think I am on Facebook

Aww... how cute are you. :hug2:

I think Adam's talent is far superior to the others, but still not sure that he will appeal to enough of the voting public to win.

Tinker
04-26-2009, 01:30 AM
I vote for him , well I should say text .
