For those of you who have HBO (Do yall have HBO over there) please please please watch this movie..ho my gawd..I bawled from the begining of the movie to the very end...what a beautiful story...its about a kid who graduated from one of the local schools here and moved to Wyoming. He then becomes a Marine and is killed in action in Iraq. The story is about Col Mike Strobl (also from here...Clifton, Colorado) escorting the remains back to Chance Phelps family and the honor and the gratitude this nation has for our military. It is not a politcal movie btw...please if you get the chance...just watch it...

Have you lost your mind? I can't get through your explanation without welling up and having breathing difficulties! I totally understand your belief that we should bear witness, but I could never get through it, I promise. :sorry:

Plus, I don't have HBO.

Ahh, is this the one with Kevin Bacon?? I definitely want to see it. I am hoping that Amazon will get it for their on demand section so I can download it.

Marcus and I saw the previews last week...it does look good. I'll be a mess, too, though.

No HBO here, either. Just basic cable.

I'm sure I would be in tears throughout it, though. It sounds beautiful.

Is this the guy who they made a statue of here in Colorado? If it is, my son told me about what happened with him in Iraq. Sad.

Nope that was Danny Dietz..he was a navy seal from littleton and he was KIA in the Stan.

And those people who protested it should have been drawn and quartered. They were complaining about how that statue would cause more shooting like at Columbine...riiight because we dont teach our children the difference between a soldier who gave his lifeand murderers here (http://www.bloggernews.net/15885)is a story about that whole mess..

And just so you all know...that statue is up as seen below...

I am glad I do not have HBO. I cannot watch movies like that. It just wrecks me.
