OMG! REALLY!!! :9: :9: I LOVE Cat Cora!!!

I used to really enjoy Spoodle's, but it had fallen off so much that the last time we were there (granted, several years ago) we were so disappointed we didn't return.

Cat Cora is wonderful. I know some of you really enjoy Spoodle's but this is a very positive change!!! :D :D :D

Don't you just love the hint of the deep south that is still in her speech? :D :D

She's pregnant too. :D :D

She's very pretty. I did hear she's pregnant. I also heard her partner is pregnant too. Two babies! She's one busy woman

 Due just a couple of months apart.

She's one busy woman. She's Greek, from Mississippi. :D

Well I am indeed sad about Spoodles closing but I am hoping this new place will be good. She's Greek and southern so I know she can cook

I'm excited about the possibilities...I love her cooking style and I hope she has a heavy hand in the cuisine...should be interesting to see!

From my understanding Cat Cora isn't going to actually own the restaurant, rather collaborate with Disney. We'll see how it goes, eh?

She and Rocco Dispirito used to have a show on Food Network several years ago. He'd do his Italian and she'd do her Greek. Fun show, great food.

She's been a featured chef at the headliner Food and Wine Festival Dinners, too.

Plus, being an Executive Chef for Bon Appetit!

If you want wonderful tapas, Ceviche in downtown Orlando outshines Spoodle's like you wouldn't believe. A great place to go for wonderful selection, excellent food, and a pretty darn decent sangria! It's on Church St. in one of the former "Church St. Station" sites. Park in the pay lot under I-4 and it's a very short walk (can be seen from the pay lot) to Ceviche so you don't have to worry (too much) about being mugged or accosted on your way in or out.

LOL...gotta love a sentence that begins with "...so you don't have to worry about being mugged or accosted..."

Sounds like my kind of place!

Well, it is downtown Orlando!

Ceviche is really nice though. It's huge for a downtown venue and they sometimes have live music in the "bar" section of the restaurant.

The tapas menu is beyond extensive. Sensory overload and you end up almost giving up on your first visit!

You can also order from a short paella selection and one other dish which escapes me right now.

We love the place. Excellent for spending time with friends. Sharing a selection of food, drink and good talk? It's Spanish, but the CRAIC is mighty! :D :D (Well, minus the dancing).

Seriously, I am really sure you'd like it.

As well it should. I don't often recommend much in downtown Orlando, but this place is worth the trouble to get to.

I've had three lovely dinners in Spoodles and would b sad to see it go, but having looked at the web for info about Ms Cora, it might be a decent replacement.
