Found this interesting footage on youtube and it got me wondering, has anyone heard what's in store for these buildings?

Certainly be a shame to just let them sit. :(

It's sad, isn't it? You know they are going to have to put all sorts of cleanup and money into those skeletons just to get things underway again. Who knows if they'll ever do it. Best to take them down then leave them there like some forgotten ghost town. :sigh:

I agree, Tink. I had heard they were considering turning them into "suites" like the other All Stars have now, but wow...it's depressing to see them like *this*.

If it didn't bother you a couple of years ago, it shouldn't bother you now. Those buildings have been there for ages.

Not stayed there yet we did ASMo in 2007

The buildings are painted--or stuccoed--to blend with the scenery. They're not all that obvious unless you're looking at and for them. There's greenery around Hour Glass Lake shore that obscrues them to a certain extent.

Gotcha.

I personally like Pop better than the All Stars. You don't notice the other side at Pop unless you are specifically at the back of the resort looking for it.

I liked Pop too. The buildings back there aren't much to look at lol. We didn't know about them until we walked around and saw them.

I heard that everything came to a hault after 9/11. You never know, look what they did to the tree houses, maybe they'll eventually open it.

Just in case it wasn't mentioned, these buildings seem likely to become part of the Disney's Art of Animation Resort Hotel if not the first phase then possibly an expansion

Yeah thats what I heard, they are going to be reused for the Art of Animation Resort, so thats good that they wont go to waste.

You can see them from the road when you are coming into Pop Century.
