So, I'll be the first to admit that I don't always keep up on what's going on. But I saw that Obama was going to do this online based town hall meeting. I guess the people of the US have been able to email questions which then he was going to answer some of the top rated. I have been watching it online and I have to say that it's been interesting and I find that the fact that he is reaching out to us is nice and refreshing. I hope this type of approach keeps coming. :D

Anyone else watch it?

Hey Billie, I heard this morning on the way into work that he got 77,000 questions submitted already. Holy cow!

I think they had even more questions by the time it started. I just think it's a great way to reach out to people. :D

I watched his speech to the people/answered reporters questions Tuesday evening . I agree that its great that he keeps us informed and always has an answer . he's not an ummmmm, ahhhhhh, answer , he doesn't even think about it , he knows what he wants .

I'm just really glad that finally, we've got a President that actually seems to care about the people he's been elected to govern.

Seems a refreshing change to me and I respect the man immensely for that!

Uh-oh...this is like being called on in class. I don't want to mess up the ideas...let me see if I can find a link or something. However he did talk a lot about education and the price of health care.

I think this one has some video in the middle of the page that you can 'launch' to see some of the actual meeting.

Now I know some people don't like Obama. That's fine. I'm not one of them. While the juries still out on his presidency, it's obvious from watching any news report that the man has more charm than he knows what to do with.

Anyway, if you like Obama as I do, here's a news bit you might enjoy that happened during a speech he was giving on health care reform.

Actually, they had her teacher on another news clip. Yes, she believes it!

Of course, according to the teacher, the girl had already been pre-excused from classes that day!

Tom (:macwave:... who still thinks it's cool!)
