Well it totally depends on how many photos you're going to put up there. If you stick em in a folder and do "properties" on the folder, it'll tell you how much space you're using. You'll need the same amount + a TINY bit more for the actual HTML code for a web page

42 photos is 141mb - just over 1000mb per gb = 5000mb = 1489 photos? is that right- seems like a lot to me :unsure:

That's pretty much it yep :) 5GB is a lot of space especially if you size them for the web rather than sticking full size photos on there

That sounds like definatley enough. Make sure you have a good quality watermark for them and put them on there at a low resolution. Not everyone does this and the results can be terrible.

Make sure you give us a link when you've finished it so we can see it :D

well i took 1900 pix in florida and the total size for just those pix were nearly 8gb

What program are you using to make it? It's hard to say in cm's to be honest. It also depends on how wide your layout is going to be. There isn't a set size, you just go with how wide your website's layout will be. :yes:

The secrets one is 980pixels X 170pixels.

Image manipulation software does give you the option to use cm's, but its best if you get an idea of pixels as that is what they are generally measured in :yes:
