View Full Version : what day of the week is best to reserve Airplane tickets?
I was checking tickets on wednesday and got quite a few of around 350usd round trip to Orlando.... since I was just checking, I didnt make a reservation...
Today I decided to check again, just to make sure the dates I wanted were available... well.. they are.... for over 700usd !!!!! :nono:
So I was wondering if it could be because today is friday and the rates go up during the weekend... and possibly if I check next week Ill get better fares, or... if they have gone up for good in TWO DAYS TIME :sorry:

Are you looking directly at the airline website or through a booking agency?
I find that the airline website is the cheapest. Sign up for the airlines free card points thingie and you'll get advance notice of sales. I don't know what days are best for booking. You have to keep checking till you see what you like and then grab it.
Im booking directly with the airline Johnie.. I have also found thats usualy the cheapest, unless you buy a whole packaged vacation with them...
I will check again tuesday night... :) thanks!
US domestic airlines usually are midnight-ish Monday into Tuesday, based on the airlines home office local time. Typically Tuesday, possibily into Wednesday, if there are competing airlines with same/similar routes at an airport.
Absolutely zero help for you, Mari, with international fares!
