Can an adult order from the childrens menu?

I sometimes find the adult's portion just too big.

Is it possible to order from the childrens menu?

We've never had a problem doing this at counter service. I'm not so sure about table service. We usually just split an entree or appetizer. We've had absolutely no problems splitting meals.

I know that WDW has on a couple of different occasions charged the adult price for the child's portion at full service restaurants...
