View Full Version : First ever time Geocaching

Went out this morning with my IPhone geocaching App,(works great)
Found 2, 1st was really close to the pub at devils dyke and the other was right down the bottom in a village call fulking, we were out for 3 hours god knows how many miles we walked.
Here are a couple of shots of the kids after we had found them.

People just deside to put them in places and then register them on the site for you to find. A bit like a treasure hunt.

Those pictures are brilliant, what camera do you use? They have a really nice 'depth'.

I mis-read "fulking" and I now have water all down my top... better than hot coffee I suppose!

Looks like you had a great day... aren't iPhones brill?!

I have a Canon ESO 400D, My youngest son noticed the place could be called something else if you changed the letter.
so glad it was water and nothing hot. LOL
Yes the IPhone is great.

Yes, we did try it last year but could'nt find the one we found today and never really tried again. but we have already made plans to go out again on Monday, weather permitting.

WOOHOO! It's supposed to rain here for the next, oh, month or so...so I'm not sure *when* we'll get to head back out, but the kids are most CERTAINLY bitten by the "bug".

my geocaching didn't go to plan, someone misread the map the first day and we ended up scarpering off of private property. - it was 3 further miles to go round the other way so we didn't do it. The next time the navigator got it wrong it was the farmers fault for letting nettles overgrow the path. We will be going back to both of them in half term week as we are going back. Jon did enjoy getting out and about though and doing it - and he wasn't interested before.
