we looked and couldn't find anything near 'good' but that may be just our palates - Not sure what Juan and Onlys is like in the Swolphin ( think its there)

Nope. You can't get decent chili in a restaurant in Florida.

Not sure how the tacos are at Mexico's cantina in the WS. But I've heard that they are closing that down, so don't know if it will still be there when you come.

They have a separate little stand now for frozen margaritas. They are (rumors only at this point) going to turn the cantina area into a full service restaurant. :(

Loads of people love the cantina. I'm hoping it's a false rumor.

I LOVE it too...

Its a nice relazing place with an AMAZING view of the WS, and its not expensive....

but I can see how the location is just PERFECT for a full service EXPENSIVE restaurant :(

We used to love going there when they sold little tiny frozen margaritas, and sit in the hot, hot sun and soak it all in. That was years ago when we were living in the northeast. Sitting in the sun in Mexico is the way we thawed out.

We'd sit along the railing...we used to go there to watch fireworks too. Times change. :sigh:

I so hope this isn't going to happen. We don't much eat there, but usually had someone with us who did, and it was always a great time...

Once, I called our friend (originally from Mexico) who was living in Ft. Myers from there.

Me: "OLA CHIQUITA!!!!"
Her: WHO is this?
Me: ME!!!
Her: WHERE are you?
Me: MEXICO!!!!
Her: WHHHHHHHHHAAAT!!!!

LOLOLOL! Good times!

I personally think chilli is something that needs to be made at home. Lone Star Steakhouse does a decent version though. I beleive there is a Lonestar outside of the DTD entrance (over near Bahama Breeze).

Chevy's has pretty good Mexican food (that is at the Crossings in DTD). We also like Don Pablo's on International Drive.

Just took a gander at the menus. SCI-FI has Chili, but I don't see it on 50's Prime Time menu.
