OK! I know I am weak - but I managed to go almost two years without going back to Florida.
I have foregone many things this past year in the name of marital harmony - new kitchen and assorted other building works - not going to see EC for the first time since 1986.
So I cracked tonight and booked the flights and some hotels.
Our plan so far :
24th December 2009 - travel to Gatwick Airport - stay overnight @ Hilton
25th December 2009 - Fly to Orlando - stay overnight @ Travellodge I-Drive
26th December 2009 - Drive to Sarasota - stay 5 nights @ Helmsley
Sandcastle
Move on to a rented home somewhere near Disney
15th January 2010 - Fly home - collect car - resume sulking and planning next escape to Florida
Sounds like a plan to me!

Blast - I was hoping you would not spot this! :sorry:
Ah - what is the worst that could happen? I would never do anything which would be worth videorecording and posting on the internet ..... I hope.

She is pretty good - enjoying being retired - they are off to France again in a week for the second time this year and later they are exploring Yellowstone for 3 weeks.
She is trying to manage the pain from her ailments without chemical assistance - but as long she doesn't have to sit at a computer it seems to be OK.
That's really good news. It's great that she is able to travel. I hope she enjoys Yellowstone! It's a huge place.

I am sure they will - they have a cabin booked somewhere - I think they are going early September. Retirement looks pretty good to me!
