80m...

1 Christiano Ronaldo apparently.

80 for a football player is positively obscene. :furious:

So this is my alternate "what could you buy for 80m" thread.

Feel free to add your own.

80m could pay 4000 grade 4 NHS nurses for 1 year.

320,000 goats from the oxfam catalogue.

:thud:

Let's see...hmmm, I wouldn't have to work, or go to school. I could hire a personal trainer and cook for the rest of my life and yours. I could buy several homes in several different countries...the list goes on and on.

Really, no one needs that much money. It's ridiculous

80 million lottery tickets.

It's obscene spending that much on a man who kicks a ball about a field.

There are so many other jobs that really could use a decent pay, but don't really seem to get it. Nurses, teachers, etc...

Proper homes for the poor people of Barbados so they don't have to live in derelict slave chattel houses :(

Nothing frustrates me more than the price that people spend on bloody football. I think they do deserve a high wage, their job has a short 'shelf-life', a very fickle business, and something loved up and down the country, but I was thinking more 80 GRAND a year!

Dawn

400 million sachets of rehydration drink.

So true. I think I would feel immensly guilty and would be donating tons of it to charities. I think we should occasionally ask ourselves what are we doing for us as a group/humans...maybe he should ponder that question for a while. Yeah, sure, we all love a good sports game or movie, but really should they be making that much money to entertain us. Maybe writers should be making more money, as I much more enjoy a good book over either a movie or game.
