I`ve just got back from a test drive in the new Lotus Evora following an invite from one of the dealerships.
What a car! It`s absolutely fantastic, and unlike Lotus in general, there are no rattles or creaks and it goes like stink!
They sure have a winner with this one....now if I win the lottery, who knows.

I'm now off to Google this car. I will come back when I have a clue what it is.

no rattles or creaks

Sacrilege, I tell you!

A Lotus without rattles and creaks (or the occasional squeak and bump). Unheard of! :mental:

That would be like either an Austin Healey Sprite or an MG Midget with a working electrical system! :laugh2:

Tom (:macwave:... want a Lotus 25 myself. Perhaps they'll let me have the one at Donington!)

Did you take your camera?

I do hope they haven't done away with the classic bacofoil over the engine look :D

I can never get in and out of a Lotus without looking like a drunk spider :sigh:

I can never get in and out of a Lotus without looking like a drunk spider :sigh:

I'd pay good money for a picture of that!

Tom (:macwave:... never seen a drunk spider)

part of the pleasure of driving a car with little or none suspension movement! [The closest thing to a kart for the road!]

you havent seen the movement on my boys corsa its as hard as a rock i cant rock it at all lol

15-06-2009, 03:10 PM
The Evora though is in a different league altogether. In typical Lotus fashion, the roadholding is second to none, but it`s the sort of car that you could easily drive around in all day in comfort....and with a big grin on your face to boot [or should I say to "trunk"?].

A far cry from my Sprite and Midget days when it took myself, two men and a boy the better part of the day to erect the convertible top from various and sundry bits.

Tom (:macwave:... I wish I still had my Sprite!)

15-06-2009, 03:16 PM
... I wish I still had my Sprite!)
Remind me to treat you to one in September Tom. [Although you may have to make do with a Coke!]

Hey Terry

You get a second hand Ferrari 456 for the same price as an Evora. They come highly recommended - EC had one for a couple of years.
