I've been looking after my mum's 4 piggies while my parents get sorted in their new house and they decided that the piggies would be better off staying with us - so now I own 4 piggies.

Poppy, Pansy, Clover and Crocus.

Unfortunately next week I'll just have 3. Pansy is very old and has a large oedema in her abdomen. There is no treatment for this so we have just monitored her and now her quality of life has just begun to deteriorate so next week I'll be taking her to the vet for her journey to the Rainbow Bridge.

I have piggies. :D

Which means I don't need piggies for my birthday. I shall ask for goats.

It's ok, Pansy is over 6 years old which is darn good for a piggie. She's happy enough but the last week we've noticed she's start to go down so a dignified ending is the best course for her. There's plenty of friends at the Bridge for her to show her where the best parsley is.

Great news Dawn. My friend has to re-home her 2 piggies as her daughter has developed a massive allergy to them.
Will your Mum and Dad miss them Dawn?

Bit later today I'll go out the garden with the camera. Too hot to mess around out there right now. When it cools down I'll get them to pose. :D

Well, this is lovely news! May I ask you to give Pansy a frond of parsley and a little gentle pet?

I know it must be great for you to once again have piggies.

Goats now! You get goats? I'm movin' in!

They're all named after mice from Brambly Hedge. Mum also had Bramble, Catkin, and Primrose but they are at the bridge now.

aw I've never seen Brambly Hedge stuff before, nor the books... had a Google and LOVE LOVE LOVE that Wilfred Toadflax name. I would have adored these books as a child.
