I remember that day so vividly. :cry2::cry2: My DS works very close to Liverpool Street Station and gets off the tube there every day. My DD and myself kept phoning and couldn't get a reply from his phone and we were going absolutely mad trying to get hold of him. I eventually got hold of his office and they told me he had gone to Bulgaria for a couple of days. When he eventually answered his phone he had both of us really laying into him for scaring us so much.

At home petrified as my niece was staying in London on a school trip. It was the week after Jamie and I had been there with his year group on their school trip.

My sister almost collapsed at work when she heard the news but thank goodness all the kids made it home safely.

I watched the news report earlier on the memorial they've put up in Hyde Park. I'll visit it one day to pay my respects to the victims.

DH was stuck on the tube line - I had a call to say he was OK but then nothing for ages, the networks were all busy and it was so difficult to get in touch. He ended up walking miles to get out of London that night.

I was in work. Not everybody in the Bank had internet access but as PA I did so had a swarm of people round my desk watching Sky News website. One of my colleagues was frantic as his DD worked in the City and could have been there - thankfully she was not.

I was in Discovery cove for my sister's 16th Birthday. We awoke to the news and it was just shocking. We couldn't really relax for the day, and I think the fact we where on holiday made it worse as we where so relaxed and it made it such a shock :(

I'm really sorry to hear that so many of you have a personal experience with 7/7. I was talking to a friend who owns a craft shop when she had a phone call to say her daughter was caught up in it all (not seriously injured but she didn't know that at the time). She threw the shop keys at me and ran out screaming. I managed to find her and asked if there was anything I could do and she asked me to look after the shop for the day, so I didn't hear too much about it until much later in the evening.

What an awful day :cry1:
