Just got this sent to me from someone on the web. Not that any of you travel with guitars, but I still think it speaks volumes about companies today and the way they do business.

Beyond that, it's pretty funny! In a macabre sort of way. :mental:

Can't play the video--I'm on dial-up. :sigh:

Best guess is it/they didn't arrive in very good condition.

Makes me glad I play the flute! Although I have to remove it from my carry-on to go through security. I'm just waiting for the day that I'm told I have to check it because it could be used as a weapon. Very expensive weapon--the thing is insured for $4K replacement value!

Well, the good news out of all this is that this morning, the guy was on ABC's Good Morning America as well as a CBS Morning show.

The video was placed on Youtube on July 6th. As of today, it's had 1,351,943 views! :jawdrop:

Seems it's also gotten United's attention. Not only are they now willing to pay for a replacement guitar for the guy, they want to buy the video from him to use as a "training film". To show their people and agents what "not" to do!

Yeah, right! To get it off Youtube more than likely!

Tom (:macwave:... cynical? You betcha!)

Well... he's at it again.

Dave Carroll, the musician whose guitar got abused had said he was going to do 3 songs about United. Here's the second one. I'm sure United thinks this is all just the nightmare that won't go away! :mental:

This probably explains why Eric Clapton always used to book a separate seat on any plane for his favourite guitar whenever he travelled abroad!
