View Full Version : Some pixie dust needed

..if you have any laying around. As most of you know my beautiful Nana hasn't been doing too well this past year or so. She has been having some real problems with dementia. Well yesterday I got a call from my Mom that Nana was in the hospital - she had a small stroke. :sigh: She is doing ok, but not great. They kept saying she should have been on aspirin since this was her 2nd stroke, but the doctors have been telling us all along that she didn't have a stroke when she fell the first time. I guess this doctor thinks a different way. So now we are waiting for the results of the MRI to see what that says.

So any prayers or pixie dust you might have laying around for my Nana would be really nice. I honestly don't know what I would do without her..

She seems to be doing a bit better today. She has a bit more use of her left side. She will be leaving the hospital and coming to a local health center for rehab. We are thinking she will be spending at least 2-3 weeks there.

The MRI showed a small bleed deep in the brain. They are saying that there is a good chance that she might have another stroke. They say sometimes it is before they even leave the hospital and most within 3 weeks after. We are keeping ourselves prepared. I guess we just take it day by day.

Thanks for the support everyone :hug2:

They will be moving her to rehab today, and yes, it is very close to us. She has spent most of the day crying because she wants to go home :sigh: It is almost like dealing with a child who just doesn't understand. She has good moments and very bad moments.

Thanks everyone :hug2:

Sometimes pixie dust works just fine..it just doesn't work how you want it to...
