I have spend hours, miles etc trying to find navy trousers for my daughter going up to senior school, M&S, BHS, Asda, Tesco, Savacetre, Tammy Girl, Next, Matalan you name it I have driven miles.

Went over excitedly this evening to Next to be told not you order pay for delivery and if they do not fit etc we will reinburse you, then they said Bluewater they have trousers, so they looked online and said No sorry no navy trousers, talk about computer says No!

So I thought that is it, off to Bluewater John Lewis had not so nice ones at a high price. Finealy M&S had racks of all colours with a few pairs of navy. It was like bees to a honeypot! Finely got some.

Why do schools say navy trousers when no one seems to stock them! These trousers must have cost me a bomb in petrol!

I know when I had a navy uniform we had to go to Rawcliffes for it. My mum was not impressed when one term in I asked to transfer to the closer high school with black trousers and maroon jumper!

Austin Reed carries navy... they are pricey, but they'd last forever...

Try finding decent navy shoes. :( I've been up and down the east coast and found ONE pair that were shoes and not some silly trendy thing...

Navy is easy to find here--even Target carries the navy skirts/slacks/trousers for student uniforms! Thank goodness! I remember what school uniforms cost when I was young--far more than my entire wardrobe budget for the year in public school! But they were wool (in southern California--what were they thinking?) and made very well--usually passed on to younger siblings for many years.

I was going to suggest Target or Old navy as well, they both have on-line stores.!!!!

I have a really comfy pair of Navy court shoes from Clarkes (we live near the outlet store and get the previous years stock). No good for you on the east coast I guess, but maybe the Clarkes store over your way still have them?

My biggest bugbear with uniforms is that they always seem to have loads of availability.......................... just not in the one size that I need for my son!! Can you believe the prices of the T-shirts and Sweatshirts that have the embroidered school logo - what a rip-off.

Yes rip off or what, Hololy has to have navy and white striped blouses, 14 each!!! Then the school sweat shirt which is nothing special again I think it was around 18 as I did a bulk load on it all. Now she needs jogging bottoms, plimsoles, white trainers, netball skirt, the list goes on forever!
