We are going to New York in November. Dh will turn 40 whilst we are there. We would like to go for a nice meal but dh is not one for dressing up, he likes to be casual :rolleyes008:.
Were can we go for a nice meal that does not have a strict dress policy.

Thanks.

I'd have to say, Carmine's in the Theatre District is also delicious. I've included their URL below...all of their dishes are served family style. I love Carmine's because it's so versatile, it's great for couples enjoying a romantic dinner (it's actually where Jon proposed to me) but it's also great for huge groups who want to have a good time. The food is FANTASTIC (the martinis are big enough to swim in) and the atmosphere is lovely...almost like eating at your Italian grandmother's.....

There are some wonderful places to eat in the Village. Anything goes there too, for dress. McDougal Street has several nice places. If you like Indian, there are many choices in that immediate vicinity too. :D

Britchick, you MUST go. It's a wonderful time!

We visited MacDougal Street on our last trip into the city...did a little pub crawl through the Village as well....one of our few "adults only" trips....we had such a great time....

There are so many wonderful places to visit and experience in NYC....I think everyone should visit....

Hey Johnie....we could always suggest the PB&J Restaurant :D

If you like Italian, I'd go to Vincents in Little Italy. Its a nice, quiet, intimate place. Its been around since 1904, so they must do alot right! Food is delicious!!

If you want a nice and very romantic place you could try One if by Land Two if by Sea. It is a bit expensive but it is the most popular restaurant here on Valentines day.

Thanks for that. I think we will try to do brunch there. Do you have to have smart dress.
