My go at Jupiter last night
Last nights conditions were not great lots of high cloud and poor visibility and Jupiter was just skimming branches of the trees - will be better next year but was desperate to get a shot of the black scar that is stretching across the northern pole ( can just make it out )
No red spot last night by the time that came into view it had clouded over but conditions were not good for subtle detail anyway
What was nice was I got a shadow transit which is a moon passing in front of the disc and casting a shadow on the planet below
This is the best one i took all night - I KNOW the setup can do so so much better ( seem to say that a LOT )

and an overexposed one to show the moons - amazed to get them 'chunky' and not just pricks of light even with some colour in them

I know, I bet he can't carry it around Disney!!!!!!!!!
Re: My go at Jupiter last night
 definitely cant carry it it took 3 trips from the garage - you are most kind - but that was what you could 'see' through the eyepiece last night which was kind of cool

Ah, I'm happy you were able to work with the conditions last night to get some shots! It amazes me, truly and completely. I always feel so thoroughly insignificant when I look at your photos of space...
Thank you for sharing! :hug2:
