Ooooo THAT kind of naughty!!
Thanks for keeping this site clean! Why do some people always want to ruin things for everyone else?
Okay. I just posted something and a word got "starred" out that I personally do not think is a traditional four-letter word, but I guess some people wouldn't think is entirely polite. It was "Sea-are-a-pea-pea-why". Come on, that's not bad. And I heard parents say worse things to their kids today.
Remember, seemingly "not so bad words" in one culture can have an entirely different connotation/meaning in another culture.
We have words filtered that have received the most complaints, regardless of which "country" was representative of the complaints, if that makes any sense.
Hiya Gwennie, in the UK that is a swear word, albeit a minor one but I wouldn't want my kids to be going around saying it.
When my American Hubby came to the UK he had some work trousers on order and he walked into the office full of girls and said loudly... "Have girls you seen my pants yet" and couldn't work out why he got a wall of horrified looks lol.... til he got home and I told him just what he'd done lol.
Wow. You all have a different set of standards. I'll think before I type next time. LOL!
didn't take notice, but Thank You So Much SW .
Its not different standards as such its just 'different' there is a word we use over her that we consider very ' soft' but the US consider it very offensive - its just a cultural thing - don't go thinking we are all stuck up prudes in bowler hats sipping tea whilst trying not to drop our monacles
