This is CRAZY! I don't know why on earth it would cost $14 to park a car. The attendants are only out there actually directing cars for a couple hours. The parking lots themselves aren't special. The tram-shuttles don't run that often. Why on earth would they be raising the price two more dollars? Are there plans on the books to upgrade the lots? Probably not.
Quite simply, it's because they can. I expect the other major attractions to follow suit soon.
