Sorry to hijack the thread, but it reminded me that I had never posted these two pictures taken from the viewing deck last October.

Personally I would work on spending a full day at KSC.
When you get there you will be asked if you want tickets for the Imax Theatre and the bus tour of the complex, both of which are well worth doing.
By the time you have done these, along with a good walk around all of the exhibits and shop, the day will soon be swallowed up!

If you are just going to the visitor centre then a half day would be enough, but you really should get on the bus tour which takes you out to the launch pads (See my photos earlier in this thread) This takes a couple of hours so turns the visit into a full (but short) day.
The tour is great though and finishes at the Saturn V building where you can have lunch and generally stand and look in awe of this amazing piece of machinery.
