Macbook Pro = Nicer Design, SD card slot, more USB ports (I think), Backlit keyboard, It's trackpad is super cool too
all i can see is a bigger hard drive and the polycabonate underside
Listen to Josh folks  he's spent a lot of time on the specs of these things and he's absolutely right
Worth just under £100 more?
for me personally yes BUT the regular macbook is a great product and it's not like any of the fancy extras on the other one will enable you to do more with the product.
The macbook normal is the most popular computer product theyve ever produced (I think I remember) so it's not as if it's a bad choice in any way shape or form.
If the design and extra features leave you cold or luke warm at best then save the money, buy the macbook and use the extra dosh to buy iWork :D
If I was in the position to get the more expensive one, I definitley would  I do actually prefer the design of the white one, however I do think the pro would be much more rugged and fits in with the rest of the mac line
This article is quite helpful. We use the white macbooks in college and they're sturdy and really solid feeling, if you're on a tight budget then the extra money could be spent on software, or a carry case etc.
I looked at both and the pro it had to be simply as I needed to add in a lot of peripherals and the original Macbook didn't have enough ports
one of the reasons i like apple is that i like the way they look- i may be into gadgets but i'm still a girlie!
I guess the only way i'll know is to go and have a look myself.
